I hope you enjoy the episode today. Let's get straight to it. What to work on next?

-:

I've got some tricky things that require my time, attention, and energy at the moment.

-:

I'm quite good at compartmentalizing areas of my life and shutting off inconvenient truths temporarily.

-:

Shall we say, I put them in boxes in my brain, kind of on a bookshelf system.

-:

I rather like the idea that the boxes are perhaps transparent and I can kind of see what's in each box, they are most probably

-:

colour coded and stacked in alphabetical order and earmarked for processing in order of priority, but, you know, life is lifey

-:

and often what looks like a priority on paper turns out not to be. Situations change. So what to work on next?

-:

Sometimes it gets decided for you and sometimes you get to decide.

-:

Sometimes it's choosing something from the personal list.

-:

Sometimes it's choosing something from the professional list.

-:

I live a life where I work across both personal and professional interchangeably apart from weekends.

-:

Weekends are not for professional things unless I'm speaking at an event or delivering a workshop.

-:

What are the things that you work on to avoid the real thing, the true thing, the important thing that you don't want to work

-:

on because it's hard but you know that that thing would really help you.

-:

How can you get on with that sticky task?

-:

How do you know what to work on next when you really don't want to work on that particular thing next?

-:

Is it a job that takes too much physical time to complete?

-:

You can't just do it and then take it off your list quickly.

-:

It's going to take you a lot of effort.

-:

Or is it a task requiring a lot of emotional energy?

-:

I've had something very sticky on my to do list for a while, and today is the day I ping that task across into someone else's inbox. I've done my part on it. Now it's time for theirs. That's exciting. What a relief. Tell me, what's next for you?

-:

What do you need to work on next that's going to move the dial for you either personally or professionally.

-:

Thank you so much for listening in today. Come back again next week.

-:

Leave a review if you'd like to. It'd make me so happy. Check out today's show notes.

About the Podcast

Drink Less; Live Better
Drinking Less isn't stressful, lonely or boring - let me show you the ways to relax, connect and have fun without alcohol in your life
THIS is the magic place where doubt, hope and action meet!

Let's find JOY and COLOUR on the other side of alcohol!

We don't have to hit rock bottom, we're allowed to want something different and we CAN choose to improve our lives from this point onwards.

Sarah was 40 and reconsidering her relationship with alcohol.

She was tired and overwhelmed; she'd got a lot on her mind and a glass of wine or a G and T at the end of the day seemed like a treat or escape but... deep down she knew she wasn't doing herself any favours with this habit.

Are you thinking about drinking less? Sarah brings you tips, advice, motivation and believes that the changes we bring into our lives when we choose to be alcohol free are worth celebrating and shouting about (she also believes in YOU)!

Sarah Williamson retired from drinking alcohol in 2019 and now uses her extensive coaching and mentoring experience to help and support others to do the same!
