-:

Join me here each week to find out how.

-:

Today's episode is a word of warning.

-:

It is possible for people to be sober and still be idiots, and I include my self in that vast sweeping statement.

-:

I have seen a lot of judgment over the last couple of weeks on how other people are doing their sobriety journey.

-:

People will always be evangelical in the pathway to recovery that they found because it's really difficult to see how it wouldn't

-:

work for somebody else if it's worked amazingly for them.

-:

In the Facebook groups I hang out in, some of them are brilliant at celebrating multiple pathways to recovery, a patchwork

-:

of recovery, having an ethos of whatever works for you, do that, stick with it, or if it's not working, try new things.

-:

People often fail to realize that the thing that they are expert in is themselves, and I really urge you to do your version

-:

of sober, to test drive all of the different things that you think might help you and to not be afraid to leave to one side

-:

the things that really haven't served you well up until this point.

-:

If something feels really joyful and good, then go for that.

-:

Do more of Enjoy every moment of it and if something is leading you to feel happy, content or okay enough then maybe do more of that too.

-:

Everything does not have to be about being brilliant at everything and feeling fabulous every day of the week. Sometimes that's just not possible.

-:

People will be evangelical if they are surrounded by a group of people who have all found exactly the same focus as the one

-:

that they have, and I say let's celebrate that.

-:

When somebody has found something really really good for themselves then it's okay for them to be totally happy about it,

-:

but don't feel like you have to take on anybody else's version of sobriety. You need to do

-:

you. Thank you for listening in this week.

-:

About the Podcast

Drink Less; Live Better
Drinking Less isn't stressful, lonely or boring - let me show you the ways to relax, connect and have fun without alcohol in your life
THIS is the magic place where doubt, hope and action meet!

Let's find JOY and COLOUR on the other side of alcohol!

We don't have to hit rock bottom, we're allowed to want something different and we CAN choose to improve our lives from this point onwards.

Sarah was 40 and reconsidering her relationship with alcohol.

She was tired and overwhelmed; she'd got a lot on her mind and a glass of wine or a G and T at the end of the day seemed like a treat or escape but... deep down she knew she wasn't doing herself any favours with this habit.

Are you thinking about drinking less? Sarah brings you tips, advice, motivation and believes that the changes we bring into our lives when we choose to be alcohol free are worth celebrating and shouting about (she also believes in YOU)!

Sarah Williamson retired from drinking alcohol in 2019 and now uses her extensive coaching and mentoring experience to help and support others to do the same!
