Hello and welcome to the drink less live Better podcast on Christmas Day. Here we are. Christmas Day is upon us.
-:The thought of today may bring joy, may bring simmering resentment, or may bring any number of feelings in between. All feelings are welcome here.
-:The idea of spending Christmas sober might sound like a challenge, but fear not, for an alcohol free Christmas day can be the merriest of them all.
-:Let's unwrap the delightful reasons why embracing sobriety this Christmas Day is a truly brilliant idea. 1st and foremost, let's fast forward.
-:Think of Boxing Day without the hangover.
-:Imagine waking up clear headed ready to go again without the need for a gallon of water and a couple of painkillers.
-:It's like getting an extra gift from santa, the gift of a refreshed start to the day.
-:Speaking of gifts, going alcohol free means you'll have a pocket full of cash that would otherwise have been spent on spirits,
-:wine and all manner of liquid cheer.
-:Now you can splurge on yourself in the new year, something special just for you.
-:A massage, a day out, new stationery, whatever floats your boat.
-:Let's not forget the countless embarrassing moments that can occur when alcohol is involved without the risk of mistletoe
-:induced awkwardness, dreadful karaoke performances, or knives out over trivial pursuit.
-:You can navigate the day with grace and dignity.
-:An alcohol free Christmas also opens up a world of creative alternatives.
-:Do you fancy a festive mocktail that sparkles more than tinsel or perhaps a hot chocolate with an array of toppings that would make Willy Wonka jealous. The options are endless.
-:Remember that the true magic of the season lies in the company of the people you love or the chance to do something nice for
-:someone else or the opportunity to get some quiet time.
-:By choosing sobriety, you ensure that every shared laugh, heart conversation, and warm embrace is experienced fully and remembered fondly.
-:I can't say that about my past drinking Christmases.
-:Alcohol free cheers to your alcohol free Christmas celebration this year. I'll see you in 2024.
-:Let's continue this drink less, live better life. It is good.
