40. There's a hole in my sidewalk
Portia Nelson was an american singer, songwriter, actress and author. There's a hole in my sidewalk was one of her poems (also known as Autobiography in Five Short Chapters) it went on to become a highly popular self-help and recovery text.
This poem beautifully describes the stages of transformation, it shows us we don't have to live on autopilot. We can adapt, we can change, we can grow.
