-:

Hello darling heart and welcome to the Drink Less live better podcast.

-:

This is the podcast that helps you to see that drinking less doesn't need to be stressful, lonely, or boring.

-:

I'm your host, Sarah Williamson, and I decided to have a year alcohol free as a little life experiment and haven't looked back.

-:

With my experience and training, I now help other people with their alcohol free or drink less adventures.

-:

You can find out more and sign up to my 5 day drink less challenge at drink less, live better.com.

-:

I'm here to tell you that you can relax, connect and have fun without alcohol in your life.

-:

Join me here each week to find out how.

-:

It's beginning to look a lot like overwhelm, and it doesn't have to be this way, I promise.

-:

Are you a list writer with pen and paper or using your phone?

-:

Do you hold your list in your head?

-:

I think people who can do that are incredible.

-:

Do you have notes in your diary or reminders set?

-:

Post it notes stuck all over the place?

-:

Maybe there's nothing to do but take a deep breath and roll in to the next week ahead.

-:

However you are rolling, if you're feeling okay about it then that is good.

-:

This week of the year can give us the heebie jeebies.

-:

Even if we've done the best we can with the resources that we had, we can still hear that eternal chatter of, is it enough?

-:

Have I thought of everything, everyone, done what's expected, or done more than what was expected?

-:

Sometimes we start adding last minute stuff to do, which is, well, actually a little bit odd, but there we have it.

-:

This is how we find ourselves operating at this time of year for some reason or another.

-:

I think the media has got a lot to do with it.

-:

I think our friends and family massively influence us, and sometimes there's an opportunity to step back from it all and consider what we really actually want.

-:

I give you permission to cross things out of your diary this week. Go on.

-:

That last minute invite you said yes to, or that favour you said you'd do, or the item you said you'd sort, it's okay to buy

-:

back a little bit of your own time and sanity.

-:

I've been unwell this week and I was upset to have to postpone a lunch with a good friend, but I spent that time in bed fast

-:

asleep because, well, I needed to and nothing was going to be gained by feeling sad for too long about our get together.

-:

January is just around the corner, and we will catch up in 2020 3.

-:

It doesn't matter that we haven't seen each other in December.

-:

How can you carve out some time instead of overwhelm this week?

-:

Perhaps you can really prioritise yourself in the week between Christmas and New Year.

-:

One of the things I want most this winter is a feeling of peace and calm, and overwhelm is the enemy of peace and calm.

-:

So finding my way around and through overwhelm is one of my priorities at this time of year.

-:

Please give a Christmas gift that will cost you nothing financially this year.

-:

Please rate, review and subscribe to this podcast.

-:

I'll tell Father Christmas to keep you on his nice list if you do. Thank you so much.

-:

Check out the show notes on this or any other episode.

-:

You'll see the link to a hidden podcast episode to help you with your 5 PM cravings, and you'll be able to read about my one to one coaching programme.

-:

Thank you for listening in again today.

-:

Come back next week, and p s, I believe in

-:

you.

About the Podcast

Drink Less; Live Better
Drinking Less isn't stressful, lonely or boring - let me show you the ways to relax, connect and have fun without alcohol in your life
THIS is the magic place where doubt, hope and action meet!

Let's find JOY and COLOUR on the other side of alcohol!

We don't have to hit rock bottom, we're allowed to want something different and we CAN choose to improve our lives from this point onwards.

Sarah was 40 and reconsidering her relationship with alcohol.

She was tired and overwhelmed; she'd got a lot on her mind and a glass of wine or a G and T at the end of the day seemed like a treat or escape but... deep down she knew she wasn't doing herself any favours with this habit.

Are you thinking about drinking less? Sarah brings you tips, advice, motivation and believes that the changes we bring into our lives when we choose to be alcohol free are worth celebrating and shouting about (she also believes in YOU)!

Sarah Williamson retired from drinking alcohol in 2019 and now uses her extensive coaching and mentoring experience to help and support others to do the same!
