99. Take Action
Don't be afraid of getting it wrong, don't be disheartened if it feels like you are starting again, don't judge yourself harshly.
I know you probably think it's easy for me to say these words... and it is... but only because I got it SO wrong, I got disheartened and I did have to start again (and again).
Belief, courage and ACTION led me to the place I am now (with a side serving of trust and kindness).

-:Join me here each week to find out how. Take action.
-:What's stopping you from doing the thing that you know you want or need to do?
-:Have you accidentally made the action too big? Too scary?
-:Check that thought before you go any further.
-:Have you said I should stop drinking?
-:Stop drinking in itself is a massive and long term goal.
-:Some people work well with that, and great, if that's that's good for you.
-:But most of us find contentment in a world where we are able to achieve and therefore celebrate smaller or more short term goals.
-:So how about instead of stop drinking we try I'm going to do a 5 day alcohol free experiment.
-:Please head over to the website drink less, live better, and you will find a 5 day email program free of charge to help you
-:with just that amazing short term goal.
-:Once you have taken that initial action, you are started.
-:You are on your way to success.
-:So check, is the action you want to take the right size, not too big and not too small.
-:Are you using the best fit language around the action you want to take? Are you choosing to drink less? Be sober? Go alcohol free?
-:Test all the words out and find what feels most comfortable for you.
-:I use different words in different circumstances.
-:In my mind I describe myself as alcohol free.
-:I might choose to describe myself as sober to someone new I meet.
-:I might choose to tell an old acquaintance I'm no longer drinking.
-:It just depends on the circumstance or the person I'm with.
-:I also often choose not to describe myself in these terms at all.
-:It's actually none of anyone else's business how I identify myself, so I have been known to dodge the whole conversation altogether.
-:Choose the words that best fit for you, and don't be afraid to change your mind over time.
-:You can come up with new terms as your confidence grows. So, action.
-:The task is the right size and accurately described. What else?
-:Let's see it through the lens of curiosity and lightheartedness.
-:Are you up for a challenge, a program, a break, a hiatus, an experiment? Take the pressure off yourself, please. Look.
-:Making changes might require trial and error, learning, practising, education, coming back, reframing, understanding, do not set yourself up for failure.
-:Please start with small goals and celebrate as you reach them.
-:Any one 24 hour period without a drink is a huge success.
-:Your emotional and your physical health will thank you for it.
-:If you are not prepared to make a change, whether you have already started or are building up to starting, then you'll need
-:to accept that everything will stay the same as it is now.
-:If where you are is good enough then that's okay.
-:But if you are here on this planet for more then change might be where the fun and the growth begins. More time, more energy, more money.
-:It's all here ready, waiting when you are ready to change.
-:Check out the show notes on this or any pod other podcast episode.
-:You'll see the link to a hidden episode to help you with your 5 PM cravings, and you'll be able to read about my one to one coaching program.
